We now have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and flexible team player with outstanding interpersonal skills to join our busy Farms Department. As Farms Operations Coordinator, you will work closely with, and will provide an efficient and professional administrative service to the Head of Ireland Farms and Farm Supervisors to ensure effective operations on Ireland Farms, and will support the day-to-day co-ordination of the Farm Maintenance Team.

About you:

  • Level 3 Business administrations qualification or equivalent experience in a diverse administrative post.
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrable basic knowledge of building trades or agriculture.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and diplomatically.
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.

About the role:

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include –

  • Providing administrative and project support to the Head of Ireland Farms, including managing diary and calendar, arranging and facilitating meetings, minute taking, booking travel.
  • In the absence of the Head of Ireland Farms, assume deputising administrative duties as deemed appropriate and relevant.
  • Managing all operational aspects of Ireland Farms administration and providing support for the implementation of the Charity's strategies within the Ireland.
  • Working with the Head of Ireland Farms to ensure that accurate records of statistics and summaries for operational and strategic reports are collated and submitted.
  • Maintaining up to date manual and computerised records and collating end of month data for the department, including donkey numbers, rehoming, staff, utilities, eBis, machinery, and staff holidays, sickness and overtime.
  • Arranging recruitment of new Farm staff – having awareness of all Farm Staff vacancies so that suitable applicants can be matched to vacancies.
  • Effectively supporting all Farms teams in Ireland ensuring the teams understand their contribution to the Charity's strategic objectives and their own roles and responsibilities.

What we offer:

Based at Hannigans Farm, near Liscarroll, County Cork, this is a part-time, fixed term contract ideally starting on the 20th July 2026 until 18th July 2027, working 16 hours per week, there is a required to be on site 1 day a week. preferable on Friday.
