We have an excellent opportunity a flexible and self-motivated individual to join our Veterinary Department at our fully equipped veterinary hospital at Brookfield Farm, near Honiton. The veterinary team are responsible for the clinical care of the all our donkeys and mules that are resident on our seven farms within a 30-mile radius of Honiton. As Veterinary Groom, you will provide a high standard of care to hospitalised animals and maintain stables, paddocks and outside areas, all in accordance with the Care and Welfare Code of Practice.
Within this varied and rewarding role, your main duties and responsibilities will include –
Good stable management skills, together with animal husbandry and equine knowledge and experience is essential as are a commitment to undertaking work related training as required (including The Donkey Sanctuary Diploma and Higher Diploma) and a full valid driving licence.
Desirable. Experience of emotional situations such as euthanasia, geriatric and sick animals is desirable.

This is a part-time, permanent contract starting as soon as possible, working 22.5 hours per week every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The post holder will be required to provide out of hours nursing cover as part of the team rota.
