We have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and flexible team player with outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic skills to join our busy Supporter Services Team. As Supporter Services Assistant (Adoptions), you will complete the financial processing of selected income and maintain an accurate and legally compliant database of supporters’ personal data and interactions with the charity, ensuring new and existing supporters of The Donkey Sanctuary feel welcomed, valued and inspired to support the charity.

About you:

  • A knowledge of CRM databases.
  • Experience of processing confidential and sensitive data.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment and demonstrable customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills and able to connect with a range of audiences using a variety of mediums.
  • Adaptable to the demands of working in an area of rapid change and development.
  • Proven organisation and planning skills, able to prioritise own workload to deliver to deadlines.

 

About the role:

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include – 

  • Delivering an excellent experience to new and existing supporters of The Donkey Sanctuary, ensuring that they feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to support the charity.
  • Positively engaging with supporters to resolve a wide range of routine enquires in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintaining an accurate and legally compliant database of financial, constituent and membership records.
  • Processing gift aid information in accordance with HMRC requirements.
  • Personal accountability for GDPR compliance and the reporting of data breaches.
  • Providing assistance and advice to other departments on adoption related matters.

Based at the Sidmouth main site, this is a full-time, permanent contract starting 6th January 2025, working 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Mondays to Friday.
