As the Regional Marketing Communications Officer North, you will be an important part of the Donkey Assisted Therapy team while reporting to the Sidmouth-based Marketing Communications team as the MarComms representative across our regional centres. You will be the conduit between a number of Donkey Assisted Therapy centres and the Marketing Communications team (fundraising, commercial, digital and communications) in delivering our core aim of raising the status of donkeys while supporting our income generating activity through ongoing supporter engagement.
You will assist a number of centres with help, advice and delivery of regional marketing communications activity aligned to The Donkey Sanctuary’s wider marketing communications plans. You will be working in an ambassadorial capacity, promoting all aspects of Donkey Assisted Therapy service delivery, rehoming initiative and supporter engagement; responsible for gathering and creating content for our media channels, marketing Donkey Assistant Therapy centre events and working with the Donkey Assisted Therapy team in supporting regional opportunities in conjunction with the Marketing Communications team.
You should have experience of working with the public and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills in addition to good I.T skills with experience of editing social media platforms. Ability to use O365, Publisher, Photoshop or alternative programmes for picture and video editing an advantage. Strong writing skills with the ability to identify strong editorial content, with and understanding of how to fully utilise all areas of communications, including social media platforms to engage supporters. A full driver’s licence is essential for this role.
