We have an excellent opportunity for Marketing Communications Officer. As Marketing Communications Officer, you will play a crucial role as the liaison between our sites and operations worldwide and the Communications and Digital teams. You will provide assistance, guidance and information to our people and partners, working with them to raise awareness of our work and its impact.

About you:

  • Understand how to fully utilise all areas of communications, including social media platforms, to engage a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience creating a wide range of content especially for digital channels.
  • Creative flare and an eye for detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to coach and encourage non-communications professionals to spot and create good content.
  • Good I.T skills including the use of O365, Publisher, Photoshop or alternative programmes for picture and video editing.
  • Experience of working with the public and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Full driving licence.

 

About the role:

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include –

  • To liaise with teams across The Donkey Sanctuary to identify and develop content for B2C and B2B audiences.
  • To contribute to the creation and execution of marketing communications strategies and campaigns.
  • To create, schedule, publish and promote social media assets to a variety of platforms, ensuring adherence to guidelines on messaging, imagery and brand content.
  • To provide guidance and support to colleagues in operational teams to empower them to identify and share opportunities for engaging content creation.
  • To be a point of contact for communications with supporters, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • To be responsible for specific B2C and B2B social media accounts ensuring you work closely with the Digital team, to create imaginative and engaging content for social media pages.
  • To identify and manage opportunities to work with ambassadors and influencers to engage their audiences and followers with the aims and work of The Donkey Sanctuary.

 

What we offer in return:

This is a full-time, permanent contract starting as soon as possible, working 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday.

Please note:

There will be the occasional requirement to be on site at our Sidmouth location and to travel to gather content and support media opportunities in the UK.
