The overall purpose of the role is to work with employees across The Donkey Sanctuary to create course activities, assessments, and wider digital content.. Part of your role will be to contribute to the establishment of mechanisms for building transformational and engaging student-centred learning experiences to improve the lives of donkeys and mules. Such programmes will be set at a variety of different levels; up to and including degree level and will be delivered in a wide range of global environments. Using the Canvas Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) you will develop innovative resources and approaches that will measurably enhance the effectiveness of the learning and training programmes run eternally by The Donkey Sanctuary worldwide. To help foster both a creative and critically reflective approach to the educational offer of The Donkey Sanctuary. To help disseminate findings and results to wider audiences through reports, presentations and publication.
You will provide pedagogic advice, guidance, encouragement, and support regarding the design and construction of online programmes and course content. You will also help to design creative evaluation mechanisms that are both interactive and engaging, and provide not only a compelling learning experience, but also provide robust data for design development.
Experience of running and facilitating learning design workshops is crucial for this role and as well as successfully collaborating with other departments to gather the information and keeping up to date on issues that are covered in the courses. You will provide appropriate support to employees who will have significantly different levels of experience of learning technologies, digital tools, and online learning systems.
