We now have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service ethic to join our busy Fundraising Team.  As Fundraising Operations Supervisor – Ireland, you will support the European Union Fundraising Manager in managing a team of Fundraising Operations Assistants. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that the charity delivers excellent supporter care to donors across Ireland. You will ensure consistent and efficient implementation of fundraising and marketing processes, tools and communications to help nurture and grow the charity’s supporter base. 

About you:

  • Higher Certificate in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience of working with supporter or customer data, and with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service including management of enquiries from supporters and members of the public.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of simultaneous projects to tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience of managing teams, providing motivational support, coaching and mentoring.
  • Experience of utilising banking systems for the processing of donations or orders.
  • Full valid driving licence.

About the role:

Your principal duties and responsibilities will include –

  • In conjunction with the EU Fundraising Manager, supervising, motivating, training, developing and support the team to establish and deliver operational resilience and excellence.
  • Line managing the core team, setting objectives to meet the charity’s overall aim and strategic goals, and managing individual staff performance.
  • Managing external supplier relationships and contracts, including post, payment providers and printers to ensure cost effectiveness, efficient service delivery and SLAs are met.
  • Delivering excellent customer care to TDSI’s supporters, working with the EU Fundraising Manager to develop, test and monitor engagement strategies to strengthen supporter relationships throughout the donor lifecycle.
  • Supervising the processing and maintenance of records added to the CRM by the team, ensuring accuracy, financial (i.e. DD, cash, card and cheque payments) and GDPR compliance.
  • Supporting the delivery of key fundraising campaign activities as required, including management of the raffle draw process and the raffle operational licences.

What we offer:

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract starting as soon as possible, working 39 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

This is a hybrid working role, with the ability to work from home, however it is expected that the post holder will work flexibly and attend site at The Donkey Sanctuary in County Cork and other locations when required. There may be occasions when the post holder may be requested to work at another location considered reasonable by the Charity.
