We are working for a world where donkeys and mules live free from suffering, and their contribution to humanity is fully valued. We are achieving this by transforming the quality of life for donkeys, mules and people worldwide through greater understanding, collaboration and support, and by promoting lasting, mutually life-enhancing relationships.

We now have an excellent opportunity for a well organised and flexible team player to join our Information Management Team. Possessing an exceptional understanding of data analysis and excellent problem solving skills, this role will lead on the development of an organisational Performance Management Framework, identifying and communicating relevant information, to enable data driven decision making and organisational effectiveness.

Your principal duties and responsibilities within this varied and rewarding role will include –

  • Leading data owners and information asset owners in developing a Performance Management Framework for the organisation, including the development of appropriate organisational KPIs and metrics for inclusion in performance business reports.
  • Leading on the consistent introduction, and use, of analytics to meet organisational requirements, across all Departments and user groups.
  • Continuously evaluating the benefits and value of analytical tools and processes, recommending improvements or advances in technology in line with industry best practice and, as appropriate, creating business cases for investment.
  • Leading the application of appropriate mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling or machine-learning techniques to analyse complex data sets for organisational performance reporting.
  • Responsibility for the baselining and ongoing measurement of organisational information management capability against core competencies in the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), identifying areas of skills development for inclusion in the Information Management Framework and plan.
  • Developing and maintaining a core offer of support to continuously improve organisational information management capability, including training materials, documentation and self-help tools.

Proven experience of supporting the application of data analysis across a large organisation in data manipulation, management, and reporting, together with a high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365, Power BI and other business information and data analysis tools, is essential. A successful applicant will also need to provide evidence of their ability to develop, maintain and improve operational systems and procedures to enhance ways of working, and demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and decision making skills. Previous experience of working in a data insights driven role for a global 3rd sector organisation, and of working with different Information Management operating models, is desirable.

If you feel you have the qualities, skills and experience to fulfil this varied, rewarding and vital role, and would like to be part of the evolving programme of change taking place within the charity, we would love to hear from you. Based in Sidmouth, Devon – an area of outstanding natural beauty – this is a full-time, permanent contract starting as soon as possible, working 35 hours per week – 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday. Working principally from home, flexibility will be required for occasional onsite attendance.

Closing date for completed applications: Monday 30 May 2022.
