We now have an excellent opportunity for a proactive and qualified individual to join our Finance team. As Assistant Finance Business Partner (Income), you will support the provision of comprehensive performance analysis of all fundraising and commercial activities. Able to demonstrate competent experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of high volumes of complex financial data, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of fundraised income and return on investment reporting for The Donkey Sanctuary and its European subsidiaries including interpreting trends and variances from budgets and forecasts with a view to providing timely and meaningful insight into monthly fundraising performance.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining strong working partnerships with income generation (fundraising and commercial) managers, improving the impact and understanding of financial reporting on charity performance and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies. Therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish, build and maintain successful collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders are vital. An AAT (or part-qualified CIMA) qualification, together with a documented CPD track record throughout post qualification period, and extensive post-qualification experience in a management accounting role is essential, as are experience of working in and development of a computerised accounting system, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. An understanding of VAT regulations attached to income generation by charities and their subsidiaries, and experience of budgeting and forecasting are desirable.
